Speaking to reporters on Saturday, Deputy Police Commissioner Allan Adams said there was a ‘fair bit of work’ that needed to determine exactly what happened at the scene.
Deputy Commissioner Adams said there was a ‘solid contingent’ of homicide squad and local detectives working to determine the man’s cause of death.
‘To those neighbours in the vicinity who have concerns, be assured that the police are taking this extremely seriously (which is) evidenced by the number of officers there and are very hopeful of coming to a resolution in the short term,’ he said.
The woman was refused bail and is due to appear in Joondalup Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
