Demonic bird refuses to allow man to leave his home while its mate is in his backyard – and the threatening noise it makes has to be heard to be believed

An Australian man was too afraid to leave his home or even open his back door as angry bird growled at him through glass door.

The man shared a video of him trying to leave his home when a bush stone curlew began making guttural noises at him.

The bird spread its wings wide and appeared to have an enraged look on its face as it made the unsettling sounds.

The large ground-dwelling bird is found around Australia and is known to spread its wings and make noises to distract predators away from nearby nests.

Another bush-stone curlew gained fame in 2017 for ‘falling in love’ with its own reflection.

Wildlife expert Caitlin Raynor noticed the bird mesmerised by its reflection and put a note above it to let people know the bird was fine, just a little self-obsessed.

‘I’m a bush stone curlew. I’m fine,’ the note read. ‘I just like to stare at myself in the window.’

The curlew often returned to the same window to stare at itself which led people to say it was ‘in love’ with its own reflection.

The bird quickly gained fame with over 650 people following a Facebook page dedicated to the bird.

Since then, the bush stone curlew has been the butt of several online jokes as the bird continually returns to gaze at itself in the window.
