An Uber driver has been left temporarily blinded in one eye after he was allegedly savagely attacked and threatened by a passenger.

Mr Akash had picked up the man in a street at Koongamia in Perth for an Uber ride, according to WA Police.
Perth Uber driver Moiz Akash was viciously attacked in his vehicle on Sunday night after picking up a stranger for a ride
The man allegedly entered the car ‘in an aggressive manner’ and punched and spat on Mr Akash, who put up his arms in a defensive position.
The situation had reportedly de-escalated before the man realised he was being recorded on the vehicle’s dashcam, prompting him to start his vicious attack.
‘He said ‘I’m going to kill you tonight, you’re going to die tonight’,’ Mr Akash recalled to 7News.
The driver claimed he was unable to breathe for upwards of 10 seconds when the stranger choked him.
But Mr Akash managed to fight back, biting the man’s finger after it had slipped into his mouth.
Both men then exited the vehicle, where the stranger allegedly threatened the driver again.

‘I get out of the car, he runs behind me and saying ‘I’m gonna kill you tonight,’ Mr Akash said.
He returned to his car minutes later and fled the area.
Mr Akash said he had initially installed the dashcam in his car in the off chance he was attacked while he working.
He has vowed to never drive for Uber again.
Midland Police are investigating.
