Ron DeSantis’ team pass on offer to appear on The View blaming personal attacks from woke hosts

Governor Ron DeSantis had his office issue a scathing response to ABC’s The View after the talk show asked him to appear as a guest.

The daytime show reached out to the Republican governor of Florida to invite him on the show, with his deputy press secretary Bryan Griffin sharing the blistering email he sent back to the team.

DeSantis’ team declined to allow him to go onto the lions den with the liberal ladies of The View, instead opting to make the row public.

He detailed at least four occasions that the woke show hosts and guests, including Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behard and Sunny Hostin, had openly slammed the governor and his policies.

Griffin claims that he received the request to their office on Friday asking to arrange the appearance, with the show saying they ‘would be honored’ to have him.

Posting his email online, Griffin wrote: ‘Thanks for the invite. I understand that you are sending this request on behalf of your team.

All of the incident detailed by DeSantis’ team  happened in the last year, with the earliest of the four incidents taking place in August last year where it was said he had a ‘white supremacist base’

‘But are the hosts of the View really interested in hearing from Governor DeSantis about all of the important work he is doing on behalf of Floridians to protect their health and livelihoods, to stand up for parents and children, and to defend freedom?

‘Which of the below statements from the hosts of the View do you recommend out team consider when decided if the interview will be a genuine pursuit of the truth?

‘Or worth the time? We will pass on this offer.

‘Also please note – we don’t coordinate appearances or events of a political nature from the official office. Our role is to serve the people of Florida.’

Sunny Hostin, a legal analyst, even labelled him as ‘DeathSantis’ for his COVID-19 policies in one of the incidents his team identified.

DeSantis’ office offered four examples of the woke hosts targeting him, with Joy Behar calling the governor a ‘homicidal sociopath’ last year.

Sunny Hostin declared him a ‘fascist and a bigot’ as well as critizing his policies as ‘anti-Black history laws’, while Ana Navarro also branded him ‘anti-Black.’

Users on social media were quick to laugh at the Governor for being a ‘cry baby’ in his response to the request.

One branded him as unable to ‘handle a little heat from the old ladies’ on The View, while another said that the ‘easy solution’ was to ‘ignore’ the critiques.

But others were on the side of the Floridian Governor, with someone calling the response a ‘home run.’

DeSantis recently filed a complaint against Miami restaurant R House for hosing ‘lewd activity’ while minors were present.

Another added that it was ‘perfect’ and would ‘infuriate’ the liberal ladies on the ABC network show.

This week on the show Navarro said that Florida had been dealing with a ‘housing crisis, insurance crisis and climate crisis’, before blasting the Florida Governor for being ‘too focused’ on children being exposed to drag shows.

The complaint obtained by DailyMail.com argues that ‘Florida Statutes, prohibits unlawful exposure of sexual organs.

Specifically, it provides that “exposing or exhibiting … sexual organs in public or on private premises of another… in a vulgar or indecent manner” is unlawful.’

The investigation opens up the possibility of the restaurant losing its liquor license, an act that could put it out of business.
