Unvaccinated teens granted EXEMPTION to party – as NSW health officials give the green light to formals and graduations 

Unvaccinated teenagers in New South Wales will be allowed to attend end-of-year celebrations such as formals and graduations with health officials granting them an exemption.

The exemption for formals and graduations was signed of yesterday by NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard, however, unvaccinated students will still not be allowed to attend house parties or nightclubs.

‘The HSC students of 2021 have had an incredibly tough 18 months, including substantial time without face-to-face teaching, and missing out on seeing friends and family,’ Mr Hazzard said.

‘They deserve to be able to party with their friends and enjoy one of the biggest celebrations of their life.’

Unvaccinated students will be required to present a negative Covid-19 test within 72 hours of the event.
