Rabbitohs star Latrell Mitchell sets suburb record with purchase of a $4.275million home in south Sydney

NRL player Latrell Mitchell has spent $4.275million on a spectacular five-bedroom home in Ramsgate Beach, in Sydney’s south.

The Rabbitohs fullback, 25, has set a new record for the suburb with his purchase of the single-storey, three-bathroom spread, reports The Daily Telegraph.

Located on Botany Bay, 18.6km from Sydney’s CBD, the 897sqm architecturally designed home was originally built in 2018 for $700,000.

Mitchell, who shares two children with wife Brielle Mercy, announced the sale on Instagram.

The couple, who are based in Chiefly in a home worth $1.45million, indicated they would be moving into their new bayside digs soon.

The chic and modern home, located close to the shoreline of Botany Bay, features irrigated lawns and gardens, a barbecue terrace and swimming pool.

There is a resort atmosphere inside, with spacious living areas and an open-plan design.

Features include soaring ceilings with skylights, and a stone kitchen with gas stove, top-of-the-range appliances and breakfast bench.

There’s also a sauna, home cinema and putting green.

The oversized bathrooms are fitted out with marble, while the master bedroom boasts a walk-in wardrobe with bespoke joinery.

Mitchell’s Botany Bay splurge adds to his growing real estate portfolio.

In 2020, the footy champ spent $600,000 on a 222-hectare farm at Caffrey’s Flat, near his home town of Taree, New South Wales.

A year later, he bought a $1,815,000 property nearby for his parents Trish and Matt.
