Ozark showrunner Chris Mundy has hinted at Ozark spin-off shows, now that the main series has come to an end, though Ruth won’t be featured.

When asked in an interview with TVLine if Ruth is actually dead, Mundy said, ‘I’m sorry; she totally, absolutely is.’

Ruth was killed after new mafia boss Camila Elizonndro (Veronica Falcon) learns that Ruth killed her son, and swiftly avenges her son’s death by gunning Ruth down in front of her trailer, in the final minutes of the series finale.
