Real Housewives of Atlanta: Tensions rise between Sanya Richards-Ross and Drew Sidora

The newest member of Real Housewives of Atlanta – Olympic champion Sanya Richards-Ross – clashed frequently with Drew Sidora on Sunday night’s new episode.

The 37-year-old Jamaican Richards-Ross – who has four Olympic gold medals for running in the 400M race and 4x400M relay race – didn’t pull any punches when it came to her distaste for Sidora, 37.

The Housewives clashed twice during the episode, both resulting in loud confrontations, the first picking up right where last week’s episode left off.

The episode begins with Sanya’s Jamaican Cooking Class, with Drew Sidora showing up after all, despite saying she wasn’t coming.

‘I decided to come ’cause you invited me. And you didn’t uninvite me. So, I was like, you know what? Let me just go ’cause I’m a supportive friend,’ Drew says as Sanya says, ‘I’m happy you came.’

Drew adds she’s, ‘coming in peace,’ adding, ‘I just want some-some Jamaican food,’ as Sanya introduces Drew to her mother Sharon.

Sanya says in confession that she’s glad Drew came because she wants to ‘get past whatever issues we’re having.’

Sanya decides to break out her Olympic gold medal, saying she, ‘wanted to give the ladies a cool prize for winning my Dutty Wine contest’ adding in confession, ‘I ain’t gonna lie. It don’t never hurt to remind them what a champion look like, too.

Drew was not a fan, adding in confession, ‘You don’t see Kenya bringing her Miss USA crown. You don’t see Kandi bringing all her Grammys.’

She gave the medal for the wine contest to Marlo, but it doesn’t take long for tensions to rise with Sanya and Drew, with Drew accusing Sanya of not paying her makeup artist Artez.

Kandi’s mother Joyce and Sanya’s mother Sharon say what they’re fighting over is ‘insignificant’ but the fight continues regardless.

Drew asks Sanya if she paid the makeup artist that Sanya used, with Sanya stating in confession, ‘Drew is trying to make it seem like I run out on my bills, and I do not play those games, okay? So, I’m gonna give her double for her trouble ’cause I don’t wanna owe her s**t.’

Sanya says Drew is ‘pissing me off because that’s what you always do, but Drew calls her out for bringing this up in front of the group.

‘And then on top of that, to invite me to your shoot and then to uninvite me, that was hurtful. So, I’m like you took the knife, and then you turned it,’ Drew says.

Sanya tries to explain but Drew keeps making faces at her, which Sanya says she hates, adding, ‘Drew, I hate when you do your face like that,’ while Sanya’s mom chimes in.

Sheree says in confession, ‘Drew, you know you’re f***ing up when you got somebody’s mama ready to flip a table. Shut up sometimes. You talk too much.’

Drew accused Sanya of ‘clout-chasing,’ but Sanya was quick to combat that noise.

‘What do you mean clout chasing? I don’t need to clout chase off nobody. What am I clout chasing for? I’m a four-time Olympic gold medalist. Put some respect on my name!’ Sanya said.

All of the women seem to respect the truth bomb that Sanya just dropped, as Drew says that friends don’t always have to see eye to eye.

Drew adds in confession that they thought they should have resolved that between themselves and she shouldn’t have done that in front of the group.

Drew asks Kenya if she talked to Kandi about being uncomfortable about a game they played with vibrating panties with.

‘Since Drew was so kind to drag me into her mudslinging fight, when we were in New York, I did feel very uncomfortable,’ though Kandi says, ‘And you told Drew that and not me?’

Joyce defended her daughter saying, ‘You didn’t wanna wear the damn thing then don’t put em on. Nobody control my vagina but me.’

Kenya starred in the 2000 erotic thriller Trois, which they showed the cover for, but Kenya insists she is ‘prim and proper now.’

‘Kenya has, like, all kind of crazy sex stories, but now you’re clutching your pearls. We know that your history has been talked about before, sexually,’ Kandi says in confession.

Marlo adds in confession, ‘Kenya slept with half of Hollywood? Yeah, she slept with half of Hollywood. Yep. Just Google, uh, all the men in Hollywood back in the days when she was poppin.’

Kandi adds that it’s ‘so funny to me that she had a problem with it,’ but the married couples were all laughing and thought it was funny.

Sanya says they only have the place until 9 and thanks everyone for coming as they all start to make their way out.

Marlo is seen heading to the Women’s Expo, where she’s about to give a talk about her foundation.

‘The Women’s Expo invited me as a speaker to share my life story with the women and to talk about Glam It Up,’ she began.

‘My foundation, Glam It Up, started off 2011 as an initiative. Tye and I would call around, and we’re like, any girls in foster care, we wanna do something’ with them. After they got so successful, and we kept having events, I’m like, hey, we’re gonna make this a nonprofit,’ she added.

‘I was mad at the world. You know, I just didn’t believe I ever had real love or somewhere I can call home. I want people to just know you’re not alone’ Marlo said the crowd.

After the Expo, Marlo gets a call from Drew, who is working out, asking what she missed.

‘Girl, you missed a whole damn lot. When I get there, I’m shocked that Kenya is there. Like, how are you here now, but you didn’t come yesterday to support a friend?’ Marlo tells Drew, who agrees with her.

‘But while I’m talking to Kenya, girl, Sanya is taking up for her,’ Marlo says, as Drew thinks Sanya is, ‘betting on the wrong team.’
