Sophie Monk reveals the ‘most amazing’ star she’s worked with in Hollywood

Sophie Monk spent a decade in the US, working on a range of films and TV shows with some of Hollywood’s most talented stars.

And on Tuesday, the 41-year-old revealed that the ‘most amazing’ person she has met and worked with in Tinseltown was comedian, Adam Sandler. 

‘I’d say Adam Sandler’s the most amazing person I’ve met in the industry,’ she told Yahoo! Lifestyle.

‘He was amazing to work with,’ the blonde bombshell added, referring to their 2006 comedy Click.

In the movie, she played Stacey, the assistant to David Hasselhoff’s character who was Adam Sandler’s character’s boss in the film. 

Sophie also spoke highly of actress Jennifer Coolidge, who she worked with in the 2005 spoof comedy Date Night.

She had nothing but praise for comedy actress, who is best known for roles in A Cinderella Story and American Pie. 

‘We did a table read where we all sat around and she was like, “Who are you? You’re very funny!” and she was so kind to me. Lovely lady,’ Sophie recalled.

This comes after Sophie revealed she almost became a Bond girl, but narrowly missed out on the part, on Triple M Sydney’s Moonman in the Morning.

On Tuesday, radio host Lawrence Mooney joked that the blonde bombshell ‘could definitely be a Bond girl’.

‘Oh, actually, [Bond producers] were in talks with me [about a role] but someone else got it,’ Sophie revealed, guessing that the talks took place place ‘about ten years ago’.

That would have meant the film was likely Skyfall, which was released in 2012, though she was unsure if the James Bond actor was Pierce Brosnan or Daniel Craig.

‘I can’t remember. I just remember going, you know, I was down to the final four or something,’ she said.

‘Obviously my acting probably let me down,’ she joked.

French actress Bérénice Marlohe ultimately landed the role of Bond girl Sévérine in Skyfall.

After giving up on Hollywood and moving back to Australia in 2015, Sophie has had a successful career as a TV host, presenting Beauty and the Geek and Love Island for Channel Nine.
