Kate Langbroek caused quite the stir on Thursday night’s episode of The Project, as she made a bathroom confession that disgusted the rest of her co-hosts.

During the show, the 56-year-old revealed that she, her husband Peter and their four children Lewis, Sunday, Artie and Jan often share the same toothbrush out of convenience.

‘Peter and I routinely share the same toothbrush. We drifted into it,’ Kate began, as her co-hosts gasped.

‘Now the whole family has got a communal cup in our bathroom. We’ve technically got enough toothbrushes for everyone, but not the will to allocate colours.’

‘Stop!’ Lisa Wilkinson replied. ‘Don’t go there…’

‘We pick a random one, and sometimes I go, “Oh, that‘s a bit shaggy, I’m not using that”,’ Kate continued.

‘Where do you draw the line?’ he laughed.

‘You know where you draw the line? Well before that!’ Waleed Aly added.

‘You‘ve got a lot of boys in your family. Boys don’t have the same dental hygiene, would you agree?’ Lisa asked.

‘Look, I don‘t know. It’s clean,’ Kate replied.

‘I could tell you what else we get up to… obviously I’m alone on this.’
