Jordan De Goey has taken personal leave and will miss Collingwood’s game against GWS as the fallout from his trip to Bali continues.
The 26-year-old has not been at Magpies HQ since returning from his mid-season trip overseas, where a video emerged of the midfielder pulling down the top of a woman in a nightclub.
Collingwood hit De Goey with a suspended $25,000 fine this week and confirmed on Wednesday that he will not be available for selection for Sunday’s game against the Giants.
“The Collingwood Football Club advises player Jordan De Goey has been granted personal leave by the club and will not take part in the Round 15 match against the GWS Giants,” the statement read.
“Jordan has been absent from training this week and the club will continue to support him on his return to the football program.”
