Manchester City have completed the blockbuster signing of striker Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund.
The reigning Premier League champions have reportedly triggered the 21-year-old’s £51million release clause to bring him to the Etihad this summer.
The club confirmed they had reached an agreement in principle with the Bundesliga side to sign the Norwegian on Tuesday afternoon.
Haaland’s transfer to the Etihad will take place on July 1 but the move remains subject to City finalising terms with the player.
Haaland was afforded time off by Dortmund on Monday and the 21-year-old was understood to have undergone medical tests in Brussels.
Sportsmail understands a deal between City and Haaland’s camp was completed last week, with the Norway international expected to earn around £400,000 a week.
Having scored 85 goals in 88 appearances, Haaland will bid farewell to the Dortmund supporters after their final Bundesliga game of the season against Hertha Berlin on Saturday.
