Jose Mourinho using drone to film Roma players in training in preparation for Juventus clash

Roma players have nowhere to hide! Jose Mourinho checks out the drone he uses to point out his players’ errors in training as they prepare for huge Serie A clash against Juventus

Jose Mourinho has posted a video of him messing around with a drone but has insisted he’s ‘not having fun,’ as the Roma manager prepares his side for their Serie A clash with Juventus.

The Portuguese manager’s side sit fourth in Serie A after the opening seven games and four points ahead of the Bianconeri going into their clash at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday.

Mourinho has posted a video on his Instagram account picking up a camera drone and helping to disassemble it so it can fit back into its box seemingly after a training session.

He posted the video with the caption: ‘It’s football, it’s training, it’s work… It’s not us having fun @officialasroma.’

The former Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham manager was appointed by Roma on July 1 after he left Spurs back in April.

He wasted no time implementing new methods to whip his players into shape by installing a big screen on their training ground and introducing drone technology to film his players during training.

Mourinho uses the drone to analyse the movements of his players and the formation during training sessions.

He is also able to pull players aside to the big screen and point out their errors in real time so they can learn from them instantly.

Roma’s Twitter account released a video back in July when the new technology was introduced.

Several small screens and controlling units with joysticks were shown before the drone was sent to the skies, its camera broadcasting its birds-eye view live to a giant screen at the side of the training pitch.

The video then showed the Roma team huddling around the big screen at the side of their training pitch to analyse their formation.

Roma are looking to build on from their seventh placed finish last season and have made a solid start to life under their new manager.

Mourinho will hope to get his side firing on their return after they lost of their last three Serie A games with a 1-0 defeat to Udinese and a surprising 3-2 loss to Verona.
